The porous cup is optimized for use with particles as small as chia seeds ... a mere 0.80mm dia. It includes measuring lines to eliminate the need for a separate measuring cup. Floating grains are kept in check as the water flows through the cup, rather than allowing the grains to escape into the drain. The wiper is designed to easily sweep all grains and seeds into the the bowl or pot. No more juggling between the measuring cup, the strainer and a spatula.
